Safety

Everything we do at Young Engineering Services has our safety-first objective at its core. We adopt a range of safety measures to ensure the safe installation, use, and maintenance of all our temporary services. These measures are always in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and IET rules & regulations. All of our installations are inspected annually by the NICEIC, of which we are an approved contractor.

We ensure that all our team have the necessary training, qualifications, and competence to carry out all work safely. We are always up to date with relevant regulations and best practices.

Risk Assessments
Young Engineering Services will always conduct a thorough risk assessment before starting any work. We identify potential hazards and take steps to mitigate them. We always consider the location, environment, and nature of the installation to best inform the potential risks.

Testing and Verification
We regularly test and verify all of our electrical installation work to ensure it meets and exceeds safety standards and is in proper working condition for the task at hand.

Equipment Inspection and Maintenance
We regularly inspect and maintain all our electrical equipment and installations. It is essential to replace damaged or faulty components promptly.

Cable and Site Management
All temporary 400v / 230v site installations are carried out using SWA . All reduced low voltage installations (110v) uses suitably sized yellow artic grade flex. All cabling is suitably fixed and labelled. We properly label electrical equipment, circuits, and distribution boards for easy identification. We maintain accurate documentation of the installation layout and any modifications.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
All our workers are provided with relevant PPE  depending on the specific work environment and the task at hand.

Documentation and Certification
We keep detailed records of the installation process, test results, and any modifications made. We can provide clients or site management with the necessary documentation and certification.
